The “Quick Tips for Savvy Women-Taking Control of Your Work,Your Wealth, Your Worth”, came from a recent women’s networking event for Wharton and Harvard Business School graduates. The room was full and we had great speakers to lead the event and discussions centered on women and careers.
My AHA moment came from the types of questions that were asked by women of all ages about career and transitions, which were the same ones I asked some 35 years ago. Except in those early years there were no women’s networking event to share our experiences!

As I looked around this room of highly educated women, I wondered why we still find ourselves, asking questions about compensation, advancement, how to manage work/life balance, and why we blame ourselves, for our individual lack of progress. Why when women are 47% of the work force and while we have made significant progress in career advancement and earnings capacity, we still feel inadequate or lost?
Why? What actions are necessary to take more control of our unique talents and apply them to our careers, our money and our self-worth? What are the thought processes and regimens we each need to embrace to find our own Yellow Brick Road? How can we find inspiration to move ahead?
